Hosta “Patriot”
Although the desert southwest is not exactly “hosta haven,” hostas can do very well in specific microenvironments with a lot of shade. This particular hosta, the popular “Patriot,” tolerates more sun than most, especially if kept well-watered. This hosta was planted in the fall of 2006.
The leaves are wonderful for use in flower arrangements.
