Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is usually grown as a shrub. This “Blushing Bride” has been trained as a small tree, to fit better into a small city garden. It provides some privacy without shading roses growing in the garden, which need at least 6 hours of sun.
Grown by Lois Brandt.
ETA 7/11/2009: Take a look at this garden one year later.
